For the best part of 40 years my life has
centred on my home and family as well as working full-time as a personal
assistant, during which I have been complemented on being a good
listener, empathic but practical, and I am noted for my
confidentiality. I have two children, who have settled down with their
families.
I successfully studied at the Thames
Valley University in Reading, who offer intensive vocational part-time
courses under the aegis of the Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT).
My aim is to continue my studies and complete further courses, for
example Kinesiology and Reiki, and at present I am studying Reflexology
- the whole area of holistic and complementary therapy is wide and
complex.
I had expected to continue working for my
employers for many more years but decided to ‘retire’ at end-October
2006 as the whole area of holistic and complementary therapies proved
irresistible so an outline for change was drawn up - and I am now
looking forward to using my knowledge and expertise to help my clients.
