SWEDISH BODY MASSAGE

History  What is Swedish Body Massage?

Benefits and Effects  What to Expect

What To Expect During Your First Swedish Massage Treatment

The session will begin by the therapist taking a detailed medical history, followed with questions about your lifestyle, your diet and your health problems.  (Occasionally, it may be found during the consultation that there are contraindications to aromatherapy massage, for example, if the client is recovering from surgery, is in the first months of pregnancy, or has deep vein thrombosis.  This is not a definitive list there are other conditions where it is inadvisable to carry out aromatherapy treatment.)

During the massage, the client will be fully covered with towels except for the area that is being treated to keep the client warm and to maintain their modesty.  The whole body will be massaged using either oils, cream, or talcum powder.   A soothing massage can often send a client to sleep.    To complete the experience, the music, temperature and lighting levels will be adjusted to suit the client.

The first session could take approximately 75 minutes, including the pre-treatment consultant, but subsequent treatments will take approximately 60 minutes.

Your body will feel rested and your mind at ease after a total pampering experience.
