What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a particularly effective treatment for stress-related conditions, insomnia and emotional issues and a variety of persistent conditions.    It is the use of essential oils extracted from the flowers, fruits, leaves, roots and stems of flowers, trees and shrubs.   Essential oils are extracted by distillation or expression and are aromatic, volatile liquids. These oils possess distinctive therapeutic properties, both physiological and psychological, which can be used to not only help with your health but prevent disease.

Aromatherapy essential oils are used not only for massage but for skin oils and lotions, baths, hot and cold compresses, steam inhalation and vaporisation as well as flower waters.
